TabTrade Overview - The Good and the Catch

TabTrade - The Short Version

Tab Trade went live in March 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

That last detail is relevant. It says the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.

What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is broad.

Platforms

You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Having both is useful. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, automated trading, massive community. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Many people like it better than MT5 once they try it.

FIX API is there for automated strategies but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That would make the platform set once it is live.

Costs

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. $0 to start. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. This broker has no minimum.

VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you move real size.

Execution Speed

This is the area where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.

Should you care? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Put together that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and what you get holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket offer execution like this.

Regulation

This is the part you need to be straight about. TabTrade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.

But. Benjamin Boulter built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. But inform your decision.

The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that works comes down to your priorities.

The Bonus

Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You deposit, they add bonus funds. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you deposit.
